Convert a bank statement to a Xero-ready CSV
Xero accepts a manually uploaded CSV as one way to bring in bank transactions when a live bank feed isn't available, and that's the path this converter is built around. We export a standard CSV with Date, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance columns, formatted for Xero's statement import screen rather than a bank-specific feed format. Upload your PDF here, download the CSV once it converts, then import it through Xero's manual statement import option and match the transactions to your chart of accounts. We don't currently produce Xero's native bank statement file format, just the standard CSV above, so it's worth a quick test import before relying on it for a full backlog. Before the CSV is ready, we recompute the running balance from the extracted transactions and compare it to your statement's printed balances, flagging anything that doesn't reconcile.

Verified, not guessed.
We reconcile every row against your statement's opening and closing balances, to the cent. Statements that don't reconcile are labeled for review, never silently delivered wrong.
Deleted immediately.
Your PDF is encrypted in transit and at rest, and deleted the moment conversion finishes. Not after 24 hours. Immediately. Converted files are kept 7 days so you can re-download, then deleted too.
Your data stays here.
Conversion runs on hardware we own. Your statement is never sent to a third-party AI service, and we never train anything on your data.
Frequently asked questions
Does Xero accept this CSV format directly?
Xero's manual statement import accepts a CSV with date, description, debit, credit, and balance columns, which matches what we export. You'll map the columns during Xero's import step.
Can I import a native Xero bank statement file instead of CSV?
Not yet. We export a standard CSV rather than Xero's native statement format, so use Xero's CSV import option rather than a direct bank-feed upload.
Will Xero auto-match the imported transactions?
Xero handles matching and reconciliation rules on its own side after import. We provide the date, description, debit, credit, and balance data; Xero does the categorization and matching.
Is this suited to a bookkeeper managing several Xero organizations?
It handles one statement at a time today. A business tier for bookkeepers working across multiple accounts and clients is coming soon.
How is the CSV checked before I import it?
We recompute the running balance from the extracted rows and compare it against the opening and closing balances printed on your statement. A match earns a verified badge, to the cent; a mismatch is labeled for review.
